View (from property/room) in HOTEL MYSTAYS Fuji Onsen Resort
The view is superb as you can see Mt Fuji right from the window of your room. The hotel is big and always with many customers. We checked in during dinner time, together as many tourists from the tourists bus. It made the check in experience not so pleasant, as it was noisy, crowded and a bit chaotic in the lounge area. The staff seemed impatient as well, and didn't explain much, just passed us the info paper for us to self read. Even though there's instructions in the onsen wall (I guess not big enough) that no phone is allowed in the onsen and changing room, but there was still people who use their phone there, which is very impolite to other ppl who were using the onsen as well. No staff / rule to inform or stop the ppl from using the phone in the onsen area as well. The onsen was crowded after dinner time as well. If you prefer quiet time, tried to avoid that period. The onsen didn't seem clean as well, I left my stuff at the bathing closet the day before, and found it at the same place the next day. My instinct is no staff was cleaning the bathing area during that one day. The hotel room and facilities are okay, passable.

The views are incredible, and I didn't even have the Fuji view (definitely pay for the Fuji view if traveling in winter months, it is spectacular). Onsen is on the top floor and has an indoor and open-air outdoor bath. Clothing similar to "Samue" is provided for use to/from the onsen (basically lounge wear). Onsen has a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and is very spacious and clean. It was not busy during my stay with no more than 3 or 4 people using it regardless of hour. Staff are incredibly nice, the breakfast is buffet-style and priced very fairly (2200JPY per person if I remember correctly), and the room is very clean and spacious. The price is unbeatable for what you are getting. It is also located 1 minute away from a bus stop which will connect you to various train stations which is very convenient. Definitely try the nearby Indian place (7-10min walk past the hotel uphill on the left, can't miss it) - it's delicious, inexpensive, quiet, and has incredible staff.

The location works well if you want to be able to walk to Arakurayama Sengen Park and lake kawaguchi (but you have to walk like 30 min and partly along a big road). It had a nice onsen on the top floor with good views of Mt. Fuji, but the glass is a bit tinted so not the greatest). Our room didn’t have a view, but the size was good although the space optimisation could have been better. There is also a big amusement park that can be seen from the hotel which might sour it for some. However we found it to be a great distraction when the weather was fine but the mountain was blocked by clouds. Certainly a decent way to waste a few hours with some fun rollercoasters. All in all a decent hotel for a fairly reasonable price.

My stay at this hotel was truly exceptional! The hotel is very clean, and the view from the room overlooking Mount Fuji is what makes this place even more special. I was very pleased that the hotel is located close to the amusement park, which made it easy to access entertainment and relaxation. The rooms were very well-equipped and clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, I greatly appreciated the authentic Japanese bath, which was a fantastic way to relax after active days. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay with fantastic scenery!

Great onsen, I especially enjoyed the outdoor part. Comfortable beds, very close to train station and theme park. Receptionists provided me with a tattoo sticker despite the rules on the onsen walls saying tattoos including stickers arw banned, so things are probably changing. Had no issue bathing with the sticker on but it was not fully covering the tattoo but made it less visible for sure. Probably would be tricky if i had more tattoos though.
